Basis ("the app") is developed by Solis Solutions. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Basis makes no network requests. Everything you type in is calculated and stored on your device, and there is no server for it to be sent to. The only exception is the purchase check described under "Purchases" below.
Everything you enter in Basis, the numbers you put into calculators, your saved calculations and options positions, your journal entries and their reminders, your reading progress, and your settings such as language, currency and theme, is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded, because we operate no servers. Deleting the app, or using Settings → Reset all data, permanently removes it.
Basis does not connect to any brokerage, bank or market data provider. It holds no money and moves no money. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to. Every result the app shows is arithmetic performed on your device from numbers you typed in yourself.
If you purchase Basis Pro, the transaction is processed by Google Play and RevenueCat, our purchase management provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and the purchase information needed to unlock your purchase and to restore it if you reinstall the app or change phone. RevenueCat does not receive your name, your email, or any content you enter in the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. This is the only network communication the app performs.
If you set a reminder on a journal entry, the app schedules a local notification on your device. Local notifications are handled entirely by your phone's operating system; nothing about the reminder, including its date or the entry it belongs to, is sent anywhere.

Everything you enter in Basis is stored on your own device, so you can delete all of it yourself, immediately, without asking us and without an account to close:
That erases your saved calculations, saved options positions, journal entries and their reminders, reading progress, and preferences. It cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app removes the same data.
Purchase records. The one thing that exists outside your device is the record of a Basis Pro purchase, held by Google Play and by RevenueCat so the purchase can be restored on a new phone. It contains no name, no email and nothing you typed into the app. To have it deleted, email solis.vault@proton.me from the address associated with your Google Play account, mentioning Basis. Note that deleting it also removes the ability to restore the purchase without buying again.
We hold no other data about you, so there is nothing else to request the deletion of.
No accounts. No analytics trackers. No advertising. No selling of data. No collection of personal or financial information. No location. No contacts.
Basis is an educational and calculation tool. It does not provide investment advice or recommendations. Results are estimates based on the values you enter and simplified models. Investing carries risk, including loss of principal.
Basis is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18.
